Core scheme

The glass curtain wall is bonded with high performance silicone structural sealant. After rigorous calculation and testing, the tensile strength of the sealant reaches 1.5MPa and the displacement capacity reaches ±25%, which can effectively resist the stress caused by temperature change and structural displacement. According to the partition size of the curtain wall (general plate width 1.5m, height 3m), the width of the glue seam is precisely controlled to 12mm and the thickness to 6mm to ensure the bonding strength and waterproof sealing. At the same time, the use of fixed-point glue injection process to ensure uniform and continuous colloid, to avoid bubbles, lack of glue and other problems.

Project requirement

The total area of the glass curtain wall is 5000 square meters, which must meet the standards of airtight performance to 3 (GB/T 15227-2019), watertight performance to 4 (GB/T 15228-2019), wind pressure resistance to 5 (GB/T 50205-2020). The bonding fastness requires that under the action of the wind load standard value of 2.5kN/㎡, the glass plate does not fall off and loosen. And to ensure that under long-term ultraviolet radiation, the colloid is not yellowed, not powdered, and the service life is not less than 25 years.

Outcome of settlement

Through the implementation of the core program, the test result of the airtight performance of the glass curtain wall is better than the level 3 standard, and the air permeability per unit area is reduced to 0.5m³/ (㎡ · h). Watertight performance no leakage under 1500Pa pressure; The wind pressure resistance has been simulated and tested, and can withstand 3.0kN/㎡ wind load. The appearance of the colloid is uniform, no cracking, degumming and other problems. After evaluation by professional organizations, under normal use and maintenance, the colloid can be stably used for more than 30 years, fully meeting the strict requirements of the project, and creating a safe, beautiful and durable curtain wall system for the science and technology center.
