Core solution：
Neutral silicone sealant is selected for the bonding of hotel wood. Its main component is siloxane polymer and it has stable chemical properties. Before construction, ensure that the surface of the wood is clean, dry, free of oil stains and dust. If necessary, sand it with sandpaper to increase the roughness. When blending, strictly follow the proportion specified in the product instructions. Apply the glue using a glue extrusion gun to ensure a uniform glue layer with a thickness controlled within 2-3mm. The construction environment temperature should be maintained at 10-40 ℃, and the relative humidity at 30%-70% to ensure the normal curing of the silicone sealant. The initial curing time is approximately 3-6 hours, and complete curing takes 24-48 hours. After curing, the shear strength can reach 1.0-1.5MPa.
Project Requirements：
Hotel decoration has strict requirements for the quality of wood bonding. The bonding area should have good stability, be able to withstand the self-weight of the wood and minor daily impacts, and the shear strength should be above 1.2MPa. It should have excellent durability and not crack or delaminate within 15 years in an environment with a temperature range of -10℃ to 40℃ and a humidity of 30% to 80%. At the same time, it is required to meet the environmental protection standards, with the content of volatile organic compounds (VOC) less than 50g/L, and the color of the glue joint should be similar to that of wood, and the width error should be controlled within ±0.5mm to ensure the overall aesthetics.
Outcome of settlement：
The high-quality bonding of hotel wood was successfully achieved using silicone sealant. After testing, the shear strength of the bonding area reaches 1.3MPa, meeting the stability requirements. Through simulated environmental tests, under extreme temperature and humidity conditions, no cracking or delamination occurred in the adhesive joints, and the durability was good. Professional institutions have tested that the VOC content is only 30g/L, meeting environmental protection standards. Visually, the glue joints are uniform, with the width error controlled within ±0.3mm. The color is in harmony with the wood, which not only ensures practical functionality but also enhances the overall aesthetic appeal of the hotel's decoration.
